CNMI Women’s Summit Approaching

The CNMI Women’s Association, together with the Office on Women’s Affairs and First Lady Diann Tudela-Torres, calls all women to come together for the 2016 CNMI Women’s Summit, happening on March 30 – 31 at the Kanoa Resort’s Seaside Hall.

Deadline to register for the two-day event is Saturday, March 19, and seating is limited. For more information, contact Pat Mareham, CWA Caseworker at 670-233-9878 between 1PM – 5PM Monday through Friday, or email at p.mareham@cnmiwomen.org.

DCCA seeks input on State Plan for Child Care and Development

The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs is seeking the public’s assistance in developing its State Plan for the Child Care and Development Block Grant.

Public hearings are scheduled next month on all three islands to finalize the plan, which has been revised based on provisions spelled out in the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 2014.

The schedule of hearings are as follows:

ROTA:  2/8/16 – Youth Center (Sinapalo Village) – 6:00PM

TINIAN: 2/9/16 – Tinian Elementary School Cafeteria – 6:00PM

SAIPAN: 2/11/16 – Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center – 6:00PM
