Capitol Hill, Saipan – The CNMI Energy Division is pleased to announce their upcoming Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFL) Event under the Energy, Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG), to provide individuals residing on Rota the opportunity to receive free energy-efficient ENERGY STAR® rated bulbs. This program aims to help homeowners reduce their energy consumption and to encourage and promote energy conservation within the CNMI.
The EECBG staff will be distributing eight (8) energy-efficient ENERGY STAR Rated CFL’s and a re-usable bag to each residential consumer at the Rota Sinapalo CUC Payment Center. The event will be held on the dates specified below and CFL’s will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.
Distribution dates and times are:
March 20, 2013 – 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
March 21, 2013 – 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In order to receive the CFL’s and the re-usable bag, residential consumers must present a valid identification card with photo and a copy of their most recent CUC utility bill with their name on the billing. Only 1 re-usable bag containing 8 CFLs will be issued per household. Businesses are not eligible to participate in the event.
